Counseling for admission to technical colleges of M.P. is carried out by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal (M.P. Government Body). A press note, with all the details of counseling programme and ranking for purpose of admission is issued by DTE, Bhopal in all leading newspapers of the State. Admission to the Institute is carried out as per the rules laid down by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

BITS - Pharmacy is presently running both UG and PG level courses in Pharmacy Programme. Our bachelor degree courses are:

• B. Pharm. : 4 Years (8 Semesters) Programme :Intake 100 seats
• B. Pharm. (Lateral Entry): 3 Years (6 Semesters) Programme :Intake 10 seats

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is an undergraduate academic degree program in the field of pharmacy. It is the basic prerequisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist in many countries including India. It is related to providing knowledge about the properties and impacts of medicines and developing the skills required to counsel patients about their use.

B. Pharm holders can work in several fields such as:

Pharmaceutical Industries: In Production, Quality control, Quality Assurance, Packaging departments at the level of Supervisor to Manager.

Hospitals: As health care team, Hospital Pharmacist, Drug Store Incharge, 108 Ambulance team, Community health care team etc.

Marketing: Medical Representative, Area Manager, Zonal Manager, Medical Insurance etc.

Government: Drug Inspector, Hospital Pharmacists, Research Scientist, Drug Analyst, Drug Control Dept. etc.

Entrepreneurship: Whole sale Drug Store, Medical Store, Medical Equipment Supplier, Loan licensed based Drug Industry, Bulk Drug Industry, Pharmaceutical Industries, Ayurvedic Medicines Industries, Cosmetic Industries etc.

Higher Education: M. Pharm., MBA and also opt for Civil Services Examinations.

Eligibility

• For admissions to B. Pharm. course the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology with at least 45 % marks for general category and 40 % marks in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC category
• For Admission to B. Pharm. (Lateral Entry) course the candidate must pass D. Pharm.

• Caste Certificate issued by competent authority (for M.P domicile candidates).

• First Semester Fee : Fee to be charged as per AFRC, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.
• Caution money is to be paid to the institute only once at the time of admission.
• It will be refunded at the time of leaving the Institute.
• College miscellaneous expenses are to be paid every year.
• University Examination fee shall be charged for every semester examination as prescribed by the RGTU Bhopal.
• Hostel/Mess/Bus Charges are to be paid, if the facilities are availed.
